Herman Miller focused on commercial furnishing, so seating was designed for reception areas, airports and offices. Not intended for curling up with a good book, while that may be the use now in my cousin Cynthia’s house. Above the seating, there is an original work by Alexander Girard printed on textile and hung as a tapestry.
