A self-described “Southern maximalist,” Laura Berardi McConnell pulls inspiration from vintage furniture, historic homes, her family’s legacy in the furniture and home textiles industries, and art. To Laura, patina equals character – and character is what she crafts in every project her design studio touches.  

Home is where our family memories are made - it is a superb honor to help curate the settings of these intimate moments that weave into the stories for generations to come. If we have had a small part in infusing character, infecting joy, or simplifying routines, then we have done our job well.

Laura Michelle Designs offers bespoke decorating services, including full-service design. The studio works with new builds and renovations, or on a consulting basis for home furnishings, spacial design, and color consultations.

We are accepting new projects in Charlotte, North Carolina starting in January 2027.
